How will I know when it's time to get help?
If you have found yourself at a point where you can’t figure it out on your own and you’re tired of talking to family, friends and co-workers, then it just may be time to seek help.
What kind of therapist do I need?
Mental Health Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Clinical Social Workers all provide what is commonly called “talk therapy”. In addition you may be struggling with deeper psychiatric concerns that would require medication management by a Psychiatrist or testing by a Psychologist. We can help you determine which mental health professionals can best assist you.
How long will I need to be in therapy for?
Your course of therapy treatment is dependent on your symptoms, your progress and will be decided upon by you and your therapist together. It may be possible to adjust the frequency of your session based on your progress.
What type of therapy is offered?
We offer individual, couple and family therapy and may be offering a variety of support group therapies in the future as well. You do have the option of inviting a significant other or family member into your individual session(s) based on need.
Are the therapy sessions really confidential?
Yes. Beyond the fact that we as clinicians are legally and ethically bound by HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) to protect your confidentiality, we also respect your right to privacy and will keep all information shared in sessions secure.
How long does each therapy session last?
Each session lasts anywhere from 45 minutes to 55 minutes.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, we do take some insurances. They are Aetna, Ambetter, Avmed, Cigna, Oscar and UnitedHealthcare.
What if I don't have insurance or your practice doesn't take my insurance. What will therapy cost me?
Should you decide not to use your insurance or we are not credentialed with your insurance company, you do have the option to pay out of pocket. You will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate of fees for services to be provided to you for a determined period of time prior to your initial session. Will I have to be on medication?
Whether or not medication intervention will be necessary is determined by your psychiatrist based on their assessment of you.
