Women’s Wellness
I’m overwhelmed! I feel like everything depends on me and everyone needs me to do something! My spouse, my kids, my boss, my parents, my siblings, my business. They all look to me to help with something or solve something. Who is there to help me. If I am supposed to be there for them, when will they be there for me?
As women, we at times feel like the weight of the world is on our shoulders. We get up everyday and get everyone else ready for the day. We go to work and take care of the business. We are the doctor, nurse, teacher, bill payer, fixer, cook, cleaner, baby sitter, manager, shopper, organizer…whew! But when we are sick, sad, depressed, anxious or just plain worn down…who is there for us?
Serendipity is. At Serendipity, we hold space for you when you are feeling alone. When everyone else is depending on you and you have nothing left to give, we provide a space for you to just be you. To sit down, break down, cry, wail, complain or vent. To figure out the next steps in your life. To help you make the decisions that you need to make to enhance your quality of life. And that’s just dealing with everyday life issues.
We also help women manage their mental health by educating then on how their unique make up as women has a cause and effect mentally, emotionally and behaviorally. We show you how reproductive issues that may cause hormonal imbalances can create depressive symptoms and how those symptoms affect how you perform and interact with others. We help you identify changes that you can make in your life to enhance your love of self and your interaction with others.
We also help you explore cultural implications that may be impact how you see yourself and your responsibilities to yourself and your family. This means that we look at your family culture, your ethnicity, your religious beliefs and sometimes where you grew up to see how each of these have informed the beliefs that you have developed about who you are supposed to be and how you are to show up in your life.
Will I have to change who I am?
That depends on you and your personal goals. Even I minor change in how you allow others to interact with you, called setting boundaries, can bring about significant changes in your life.
What if it’s other people who say I need help but I like who and how I am?
We’ll explore what others are saying about how they experience you to see if there is anything that you want to make adjustments to in order to make interacting with others a more pleasant experience for all involved.
What if my issues are related to a medical problem?
If we determine that there may be an underlying medical problem that is influencing your struggles, we will work with you and your medical provider to bring about a healthier lifestyle.
We have worked with hundreds of women to help them achieve the changes in their lives that they believe will enhance their sense of self and their relationships.
